Watch this stupid and silly 80s music video spoof! It's from the movie Music and Lyrics. My family and I watched it over and over and kept falling on the floor laughing.
Since I don't know how to make a link, here is the address: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0A7dtdc-nU

So peoples, Harry Potter 5 is coming out on the 11th, and if we are planning on watching it at midnight we need tickets soon! So, um, who is planning on going? I guess I could buy the tickets since I'm close to the West Olive 16. Oh, yes, and there might be issues with the driving curfew after the movie gets out. I think my parents will let me drive home, but I don't know how much further they'd let me drive (since it'll be like 3).

So summer has been relaxing so far even with the SAT. Let's see...I went to Borders again and lost my purse as usual. It has to happen at least once a month. One of the nice Borders workers returned it. Went on a long walk with Shellie. It was hot. Some hispanic dude honked at us, and Shellie tried to yell at him before I explained that stupid people always honk at you if you're walking down Fee Fee and you happen to be an underage female.

Yesterday I had to go to my second cousin? Travis' graduation party. They live way out in the middle of nowhere meaning the country. They have sheep. Lots of sheep. It was smelly after all the rain. They also had this keg of beer, so my only source of entertainment the whole time was watching all the kids younger than me help themselves to yet another glass. My cousin who's like 20 or something drank two whole glasses within 20 minutes. Very impressive.

And we just got wireless for the Monster laptop so that's nice. Oh, and I watched Notes on a Scandal. Really weird movie about a teacher having an affair with one of her students. And the creepy lesbian lady who loves her.

Hmm, suppose that's it.

(This cut thing better work)

Cornell and Hendrix college stuff )

So, yeah. My spring break has been nice and relaxing, I suppose. Haven't done too much. Saw Premonition with my sister. Liked it. Watched Buffy stuff. Procrastinated reading Huck Finn. Took tons of walks cause it's nice outside. And that's about it.

Basically I forgot it was my birthday on friday with the power being off and everything so...I'm having a party at my house on friday! Anyone who can read this is invited. I think it'll start around 6:30 and you all can stay until you want to leave. And yes there will be dinner and snacks and what not as well as Buffy Season One, so now you all have to watch it XDDD! Oh and someone can bring a playstation if they want to 'cause we'll have like two tvs and probably the whole house if parents escape to our neighbor's house. I guess just respond here or tell me at school sometime!

OMG my power is out and it is driving me crazy. At first I actually thought it was going to be fun but WRONG! it's terribly boring! After sitting in front of the fire at my house for most of yesterday (luckily it wasn't freezing cold yet) we left to my grandparent's house. So that's where I am right now. Yeah.

Their computer is so freaking slow I want to shoot myself. I mean, it's dial-up and a super old one at that. Oh- one amusing thing. We had to take my cat Belle along with us to grandparents, and so we had to stuff her into her little case thing. I don't think she's been out of the house (except outside when she escapes) since 1998. She meowed the whole car ride. She and my grandparents' dog are having loads of fun together. XD

Uggggg, and apparently now the people across street have power but everyone on my side of the street doesn't. AND so there's only like 72 homes without power in my area now which means they'll probably leave to go somewhere where there's 1000 homes out or something. Some Ameren ue guy told my dad it could be 3-5 days. I'll go crazy if I have to drive all the way from St. Charles to go to school. So, yep, that's my life now.

Current Mood: bored
Current Music: a very old humming computer

I know most of you will have no idea what I'm talking about but.....THE STEPHEN MERRITT CD FOR SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS EXISTS! He wrote under the Gothic Archies, and there's 14 new songs. The other one was the Scream and Run Away one. It's pretty weird. Probably some of Stephen's more crazy sounding stuff. It's pretty spiffy, but I download it cause I need cash. So sad.

Just curious- how many people take or used to take piano lessons? I thought I heard a few of you al still play so I was just wondering. I started taking the summer before 9th grade so I still kinda suck.

Okay, I still don't know what's with the Cristina and Megan thing cause Megan wasn't in Spanish today. However Alena got really mad and all offensive about it and said she'd "talk Megan immediately" so I'm assuming it's not true. They'll probably just going to homecoming in the same car or something.

Wow- I haven't updated for a while so I'm just going to write some random stuff.
So I for those who do not know I went to Trout Lodge (where we had sixth grade camp) last weekend. It was fun even though I was the only one who wasn't an adult or 12 or 6. Hmm, I did climbed this one crazy tower where you had to leap of the edges and grab onto ropes and stuff. Oh-and I went on this huge swing/free fall thing.
Today was the icky math quiz. Not too bad, but you never know with math quizzes. And Shellie and I couldn't stop laughing in government today because apparently on my Mr. Smith Goes to Washington extra credit I wrote Mr. Smith goes to Hollywood.
Hence no implication.

Turns out I went to Japanese festival today anyway! Obviously I went with my family though it would have been more fun with you all. Hmmm, mostly we just walked around and oohed and ahhed over all the booths. And then we watched some of those people who only come out at night (we were there in the evening). One of them was wearing some sorta weird see through black shirt with a cape, chains and metallic shoes. He really needed a sword or a bloody axe or something. And of course they all had great spiky neon colored hair. So that was all really awesome.

I got my driver's license! Took us long enough to get out there. At first I was so sure I failed cause I made a few stupid mistakes and screwed up parallel parking but I passed anyway! Luckily we already have lots of milk in the fridge so my parents can't tell me to go get milk as my first driving trip. (The milk thing has long been a silly family joke.) Anyway, I've now been let loose on the road. :Evil Laughter:

Go
I found out today that Dad knows how to play Go and has been playing it for years! So now he's going to teach me how. I definitely need to come to Go club if you all are still having it....I'm sure something has happened since I last updated ages ago but I can't think of anything...I did accidentally squish this huge bug today and all of its clearish guts came out its butt, but you probably didn't want to know that. It was icky...Okay fine I suppose I'll go learn Go.

Okay I'm back now, finally. Of course it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be (never is really), but still, not favorite trip in the world. Luckily the people we stayed with weren't too, er, rural, even though I found out their last name is Hickson. He he. Their house is huge with a million doors that you get lost in easily. Um, what else. Oh! The lake was fun. I drove around on those wave runner things. And then I drove the motor boat which is much harder than it looks. And I hate tennessee accents. They mumble at the end of their sentences then sorta get annoyed if you ask them to repeat themselves. And my sister's friend's mother's brother is also annoying. He kept asking me if I wanted to do this or that and I'd be like no not now or maybe later or something and he'd ask me again like two seconds later. Finally because he was so rude and obnoxious I was rude and obnoxious back, but being clueless he didn't get it. And my mom knew I was rude so she gave me The Look. Hmph. Enough of that. I hate wasps.

So I've been forced to go along with my family to my sister's friend's grandparent's house out in the middle of redneck Tennessee. The biggest town for miles is the size of Potosi, Missouri (meaning teeny tiny). Oh god. Not only do I hardly known my sister's friend's parents very well, I've never even met their parents, who apparently are, according to my mom, "simple, rural people". At least they live next to a big lake. I also just found out that most likely another family (or two?) will be there as well. I almost started yelling at my parents at that point. As if the house (even if it is big)can hold that many people anyway! I think two of the people are teenage boys. Eww. This is going to be one big jolly weekend. Maybe I'll lock myself in the not air conditioned guest room (yep, apparently they don't like to use the air conditioning even when it's 95 degrees out!). Ick.

Today I had my family reunion. Real exciting, huh. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, mostly because my sister and I escaped to the pool with my little cousin to get away from everybody. I only got three comments this time on how much I've grown even though I haven't grown at all since seventh grade! That's down from last year, I think. Oh and apparently my twelve year old sister got comments from people thinking she was me. Sigh. I know I'm short and don't look my age but that doesn't mean I'm twelve. Hmmm, I guess that's it for now.

Yesterday when my family was over for Father's day we decided to blow stuff up because we were bored. My mom had heard about this experiment with diet coke and mentos. So using a tube we dumped a whole box of mentos into one of those liter things of diet coke. The coke exploded like 15-18 feet into the air! It was awesome. So we did it again. Oh, and afterwards the coke tasted horrible. It was all flat and tasted like water. So um, yeah, there's our experiment. Definitely do it outside if you plan on trying it.

So summer school started today for all us unlucky people. Driver's ed was okay, kinda boring. Luckily we won't get any hw though. We actually drove today in the parking lot. Apparently my parents' cars are older than I thought because the 2006 cars we were driving seemed very weird to me. Oh well. Our driving instructors are these old guys who are so calm and relaxed that it's kinda scary. I'm used to a panicking parent in the seat next to me, not a guy who seems like he might go to sleep at any moment.
